Product Info
Crystal singing bowls can provide many benefits:
- Reduce stress and anxiety
- Relieve physical pain
- Improve mental and emotional clarity
- Balance chakras
Crystal singing bowls are made from quartz crystal – crushed and heated at very high temperatures in a mold to then become a singing bowl. The outcome is the incredible powers of crystal and sound united in one tool.
Not only are crystal singing bowls beautiful to look at and listen to, but they are used in many different applications for sound healing and meditation.
Crystal singing bowls are used by experienced practitioners in yoga, meditation, reiki, sound healing and more.
Rainbow Sounds crystal singing bowls are tuned from a base of 432hz tuning scale. This is the scale of our bowls - tuned from 432hz at the A note, which is a standardised universal tuning scale.
Please note that this is commonly misunderstood to mean that all bowls are individually tuned at 432hz. This is not the case – otherwise all the bowls will have an A note!
For more information, refer to our 432hz tuning scale reference guide.
Rainbow Sounds™ crystal singing bowls are made with High Purity Quartz (HPQ) with Australian Quartz. HPQ provides a longer and louder resonance than a lesser purity grade of quartz.
At Rainbow Sounds, we manufacture our crystal singing bowls, we're not just a distributor. Our bowls are specifically designed with sound purity and ease of play in mind – this is whats set our bowls apart from cheaper or inferior bowls:
- Ultra High Purity Quartz = Longer & Louder Sound Resonance: Our crystal bowls are made with High Purity Quartz (HPQ), compared with other bowls may be made of a lesser purity grade of quartz. You can tell the purity grade of quartz by how easily they play. Our bowls only require a very soft tap and a light sing to produce a long and loud sound resonance, whilst bowls with lesser purity grade of quartz needs to be striked harder and "wound up" to create a longer resonance.
- Signature Smooth Finish = Better Sound Purity & Reduced Drag on Mallets: Our bowls are produced with a smooth and matt finish on the outside. Other crystal singing bowls tend to be frosty - this creates a drag on the mallet when you play and feels like sandpaper to touch. Our bowls with our signature matt and smooth finish enables them to be much easier to play and whilst achieving better sound purity.
Our sets of bowls are designed in the way that the musical notes play harmoniously together and for easy "stacking" into the carry bags. To customise a set of bowls, please choose them individually to purchase.
No, unfortunately we don’t offer replacement stickers for the bowls.
As crystal singing bowls are very fragile, we don't recommend checking them in as 'check-in luggage', though we do understand that some customers check them in as fragile/large items (packed in a well-padded box).
If possible, we suggest that you take the carry bags with you as ‘carry on luggage’. But please check with your airline on the specifications and the best way forward.
Here are some information that may be helpful:
Set of 3 bowls in carry bag: approx. 7kg, size approx. 33x33x33cm

No. We respectfully ask that any students with bowls or mallets are not made by Rainbow Sounds – are not brought into our training events or classes.
There are many reasons why. Firstly, as there are many bowls being played in the class at the same time by all students, in the event of other bowls being of a different quality or frequencies being played it can be extremely distracting for the entire class. As not all bowls are made to the standards of Rainbow Sounds bowls. Whilst they may “look the same” and they may be “sold the same”, the truth is that they are not the same.
Secondly, our class specifically teaches techniques for Rainbow Sounds bowls (and with our mallets), which are made differently to other bowls. For example, our bowls are smooth on the outside, not like other bowls which feel a bit like sandpaper. And this has a huge impact on how you play the bowls, not to mention the musical notes can be very different in sound, as we find many other providers of bowls think they sell perfect pitch, but in fact are not.
Rest assured we always have plenty of bowls and mallets available for students to use on the day.
We offer our Level 1 and Level 2 training both in-person or online.
Our in-person workshops are offered across Australia. If you're interested in attending a workshop in a location that we're not in, please register your interest – this helps us decide on new locations to come to 🙂
